ABOUT US
FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR
Are you considering long-term care for an aging loved one? What's most important to you?
Is it the reputation of the facility? How comprehensive and advanced the medical care is? Whether your loved one will be able to have a fulfilling social life?
If you're like most people in your situation, seeking a skilled care home for your infirm family member or friend, it's likely that all of these considerations are pressing on you. I'm proud to tell you that the Cedars excels in all of the crucial areas you have in mind.
The last century has been one of constant growth for the Cedars. Since 1907, we've consistently expanded our accommodations and dramatically improved our medical care and rehabilitation services with the aid of current technology. The net result? We're now recognized as the largest and most medically advanced skilled nursing home in St. Louis, bar none.
That's the reputation we've earned, and we've pledged to maintain it. That's why we continue taking to steps that guarantee that we'll continue to shine throughout the next century, too. Improvements like the addition of on-site dialysis services through Premier Dialysis and the renovation and expansion of The Rehabilitation Center of West County's gym space exemplify the bold steps we continue to take.
In my position as chief operating officer at the Cedars, I see on a daily basis just how essential comprehensive quality of life is to our residents. We meet the physical and medical needs of our residents through the efforts of CORE-certified orthopedic nurses and a skilled nursing staff that is second to one, but these services are only part of what will make your loved one comfortable and happy.
Quality of life means cultural and social involvement, too, and the Cedars is committed to excellence in promoting these aims. We are eminently respected in the Jewish community for promoting Jewish values both for our residents and in the community, and this dedication extends to all our residents, regardless of their cultural and spiritual identity.
And because we understand that a sense of community is absolutely necessary for your loved one to lead a happy, fulfilling life, we promote social activities and interaction in a number of important ways. The Cedars' campus is organized into neighborhoods, so residents easily grow familiar with each other, developing strong, lasting friendships. Public recreational areas and dining rooms serve as comfortable meeting places for our residents, where they can interact with both a feeling of belonging and a sense of true independence.
Simply, the Cedars is the answer to the questions on your mind. Rest assured that we are persisting in our devotion to our residents' physical, spiritual, and social needs, the same devotion that has made us unique among long-term care facilities in St. Louis.
So come visit the Cedars to witness our quality care first hand. I'm sure you'll understand why our motto is, "To Life!"
