FROM THE AUXILIARY

The strength of any organization is in its volunteers. At the Cedars, the dedicated, generous women of The Auxiliary, JCA make up that core of volunteers.

The Auxiliary, which has supported the JCA since its founding almost 100 years ago, helps provide additional services and comforts to make each residents’ stay more enjoyable.

Through various fund-raising events, The Auxiliary, JCA raises money to make such purchases as outdoor furniture for the patios and gazebos, plants, and flowers for the gardens. In nice weather, these comfortable chairs and tables give residents an inviting setting in which to gather with their families and friends.

Volunteers also staff the Gift Shop, located on the Cedars campus, which is one of its principal sources of revenue.
